May 14th - Dover AFB Museum & Valley Forge NP
We left DC after a most pleasant stay which included our room and the way we were treated at the Sleep Inn in Woodbridge.
Our first stop which was at the Dover AFB Air Mobility Command Museum.
There were wonderful airplanes almost too close together but beautifully displayed. They take such nice care of these planes.
I particularly like the C5A which had been actually used to fire a missile in Viet Nam. The actual missile and plane were on display.
I also enjoyed the displays inside the huge hanger. Of course there would be no planes landing or taking off this day but all else was great.
We went to Valley Forge ant it was as expected in the sense it was both green and serene. It was a very nice end to this lovely day.
