The Labor Day Trip with Tim and Kids

to the Poudre River and Rocky Mountain NP

September 2000

This was a spur of the moment trip that we convinced Tim to come with us and left late at night. We  drove all night and got to Long Draw road in the afternoon where we found a free camping spot and had a great time. We had to go back to fort Collins to get some warm clothes and the trip had many highlights including watching Tim drive on the high mountain road and stopping on a very steep place to take a quick potty break. It was there we yelled at Grant not to step backwards. Zach fell victim to a practical joke that haunted him for years. Seeing moose up close and personal and driving across the national Park also was great fun.
