February 2003  - NYC Trip

Our grandchildren attended The Independent School in Wichita. We substituted there and became close friends with the principal. it was a way for us to remain involved with our grandchildren as they grew older. We were invited to go on a spring trip to New York with them and their school  We sat in the back of a large but very uncomfortable bus  as we went with them to New York where they sang as a chorus at Carnegie Hall.

We had the pleasure of taking them "street" shopping and taking a boat out to the Statue of Liberty.

The first stop however was at Hershey Park where Linda and I rode the water ride and to everyone's delight got soaked.

We visited the Empire State building at night with Tim's mother Annabelle. 

We took pictures of them as they posed in various locations.

We went to a Yankee game. We took an evening cruise. It was another of those wonderful times of Grand parenting.
