December 2004-January 2005 -Christmas trip 3rd Rose Bowl

I am writing this from memory in September of 2014 as we had not written a journal for this trip. At the time we did not realize  we might not ever get back to the Rose  Bowl Parade and we might not.  We are hoping to this Christmas with our Grandson Grant and his young companion Hanna but not certain it will happen.

We drove through the Grand Canyon as is out tendency whenever in that part of the country. we took some nice pictures. 

We went to Sedona where we spent a fair amount of time at the famous chapel there. We always thought this was a  Frank Lloyd Wright building but now know it really isn't. Still it is quite beautiful and very nice to see.

We drove to LA and went down the coast a short ways and visited a seal beach over a railroad track. A short but strenuous walk for us. We took a picture of really high (for the time) gas prices to show Tim what we did NOT spend.

We spent a nice night on the Parade route and watched once more in awe the most wonderful parade in our land. We had a nice trip with no real memory of anything exceptionally bad happening.

We made a remarkable stop in Zion NP and walked and enjoyed the Park in the dead of winter. We took some of our finest pictures I think.
