Our wonderful bicycle tour by Rachael & Museums -May 12th
Dinner with Roy and Joan Dixon
Our day began by having breakfast with a very nice couple from Saudi Arabia and Mother and daughter. We left and drove into DC and found a handicapped parking space in front of the Museum of Natural History.
We walked down to the Museum of American History where we toured the First Ladies exhibit.
We then walked down to the Museum of Natural History where we took many pictures and really enjoyed the elephant and the Hope Diamond.
We also took pictures of our favorite mammal and a DC hot dog stand where we enjoyed a small lunch!
We took pictures of beautiful flowers along the way.
We made what would be a super decision to hire a bicycle cart to take us to visit all the wonderful Washington Monuments. Rachael was pleasant knowledgeable and just a joy. She took us everywhere and helped us in and out of the cart and it was just the perfect way to see these monuments. We really liked seeing the Martin Luther King Memorial and the WW2 Monument but actually they were all terrific. We returned to the motel to await our close friends who are on their way to visit with us. So far a very nice day!
later this evening we had a most enjoyable dinner with Roy Dixon and his wife Joan. Roy and Joan and Linda and I share much in common especially a love for our spouses, computers and of course - Baseball!
