National Gallery of Art,  FDR Monument, Indian National Museum, & Arlington National Cemetery - May 13th

We began the day by driving back into DC and the traffic was not too bad!

We found a parking spot close to the National Indian Museum and since we had never been there we went in. The building was most impressive however it was very sparsely filled with any Indian artifacts or art and was something of a small disappointment.

We then found a new parking space behind the National Gallery of Art. O my goodness was it wonderful. We spent almost 4 hours just roaming and had lunch at the wonderful garden cafe. It was very expensive and cold but well prepared and actually the soup which was the only hot item on the buffet  was hot and good.  We took many pictures and met a very nice young IT from Seattle.

We stopped at the FDR Monument which Linda had never walked into before and we explored  and enjoyed it.

We finished our DC Day by going to visit my mom and dad's grave at Arlington National Cemetery which was serene and beautiful and still very crowded.
