Eucharist

A tiny round piece of bread becomes something more

Can it be, can it really happen?

Can our belief bring about such a change?

Do our beliefs have anything to do with it?

Did the Creator of All tell us this would happen?

What does it take for such a thing to be true?

Bread becoming Body and Blood,

Bread becoming Flesh and Blood,

What is this thing called Transubstantiation?

Woman and man, Lay and Ordained,

Together with the Holy Spirit,

Beliving and acting together and, Transubstantiation happens.

We are tought bread becomes Christ,

Bread becomes Body and Blood of Christ,

Bread changes for how long ?

How long does this last?

How long does Christ stay in that bread?

We eat this Bread become Christ

We drink the Wine become God

Is what is left still God, Still transubstantiated ?

Does it matter what one believes to be true?

Is truth good for everyone all the time?

Is truth only for one person at a time?

Is Bread become Christ truth for all people?

Eucharist is more than bread become Body and Blood

Eucharist is the reality of who we are

Christ is the way we love each other

Christ is you and me together in action

I used to believe Eucharist could only mean

Bread become Body and Blood of Christ

Now I would say it is only an important part

Of Eucharist!
