The Lord gives, and the Lord takes

The Lord gives and the Lord takes

Even if we think we have nothing He wants,

He finds that part of us that is good,

The part of us that belongs to Him,

The Lord takes that which is His,

And gives it to those who do not have.

In this way, we receive more,

For by giving what is of the Lord,

We become more fully a part of Him,

The more He takes, the more He gives,

The more we receive, the more He takes,

This is the way we grow in Him.
