June 3, From Big Basin to Sacramento

Wow for a free day we did drive a lot but the day ended really well. We started out by uploading to web the previous days pictures and thoughts. The Cafe, run by Olga whose birthday it was, had a 2 person band that attempted to play and entertain. They were loud and gave a good effort. We then drove a wonderful road over a mountain to Campbell where we got a seriously good deal on a camera at Fry's. We headed down to Monterey to go whale watching but about 30 minutes prior to the trip beginning, it was cancelled due to fog and rough water. We then decided to go to Sacramento to go harness Racing and drove in the heat and traffic. We got a terrible motel and went to the races where we had a great time. Linda won about $20 and I lost about the same. The whole evening of racing cost us about $10.....cheap but fun!
